1. Who We Are

Giffator ("we", "us", "our") is an AI-powered GIF generation service operated by the Giffator team. This policy explains how we handle personal data when you visit giffator.com or use any of our services.

2. Data We Collect

  • Account information — your name and email address, provided when you sign in with Google or email authentication.
  • Usage data — credit balance, GIF generation history, and job identifiers tied to your account.
  • Uploaded images and generated GIFs — stored temporarily for audit and quality tracking. See Section 4 for retention details.
  • Payment data — processed by DodoPayments. We do not store card numbers or payment instrument details.
  • Analytics — anonymised page-view data collected via our self-hosted Umami instance. No cross-site tracking.

3. How We Use Your Data

  • To authenticate you and maintain your session.
  • To track and deduct credits per GIF generation.
  • To process payments and apply credits to your account.
  • To retain uploaded images and generated GIFs for internal audit and quality tracking.
  • To improve the reliability and performance of the service.

4. Data Retention

Uploaded images and generated GIFs are retained for 3 months from the date of generation for internal audit and tracking purposes. They are not sold, shared with third parties, or used to train AI models. After 3 months, files are permanently deleted.

Account data (name, email, credit balance) is retained for as long as your account remains active. You may request deletion at any time by contacting us at [email protected].

5. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate Giffator:

  • Google / Email Authentication — identity management for sign-in and account access.
  • DodoPayments — payment processing. Card data is handled entirely by DodoPayments and is never transmitted to our servers.
  • AI Inference Provider — your image and prompt are transmitted to a third-party AI model API to generate the GIF.
  • Analytics — self-hosted, anonymised page analytics. No personal data is collected or shared.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Request correction of inaccurate data.
  • Request deletion of your account and associated data.

7. Governing Law

This policy is governed by the laws of the State of Telangana, India. Any disputes arising from this policy shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Telangana, India.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of Giffator after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
